I completed a four year apprenticeship with British Shipbuilders Cammell Laird in 1988 with a five year day release completed in HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering 1989.
I hold a City and Guilds BS7671 Certificate in Requirements for Electrical Installations.
I have a level three certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification.
I also hold a degree in music, and still play double bass in jazz and orchestral settings.
I have run my own ship for 20 years, gaining experience in domestic and commercial fields. I draw on previous extensive employment experience maintaining large installations in the City and West End End, and in maritime construction and electrical design. I have held NICEIC full registration since 2006
